Where AOI sits in the line
After printing, placement and reflow, boards go through automated optical inspection, then functional test. AOI looks at the soldered assembly before a lot is packed.
Production uses MAIRAY 3D AOI for this step. The system is used to check surface defects, solder joints, outline dimensions and whether parts sit on the correct pads. Inspection data can be kept with the lot. That is process control, not a certificate for a finished mirror.

These assemblies go behind bathroom, vanity and cabinet glass. They are not finished mirrors.
What AOI is meant to catch
Missing, shifted or reversed parts
Insufficient solder, bridging or obvious joint defects
Gross outline or height problems on the assembled board
AOI does not replace a touch test on glass or an electrical test of the power board. Those checks still follow.
What this means for an OEM or ODM order
OEM: inspection follows your approved board and the defect list agreed at sample sign-off.
ODM: inspection follows the current LTZN platform. A new outline needs a new inspection program. A function change on the same outline usually keeps the same program with a part-list update.
